Summary from Amazon: Affectionately dubbed The Honeybee Sisters in their Wisconsin Amish community, the three Christner girls are devoted beekeepers who are coming-of-age—and discovering the sweet surprise of love.
Shy, skittish Rose Christner is more comfortable tending to the beehives on the family farm and keeping her aunt’s unruly cats in line than attending social gatherings with the rest of the die youngie. A childhood trauma and secret shame keep her heart under lock and key, and Rose just can’t accept the sweet attention she’s receiving from a handsome neighbor. But the more she shies away from Josiah Yoder, the more their families sneakily plot to bring them together. And when a vandal who’s been plaguing the Honeybee Farm starts targeting Rose, Josiah’s steadfast protection—and patience—just may lead her into his waiting arms…
What a fabulous ending to this trilogy by Jennifer Beckstrand! While I enjoyed the first two, I didn’t think they were stellar, but I loved this third one and it really elevated my opinion of the first two books as well. These three books are really one long story in three parts, and the first two are absolutely essential for the story arc. What I thought was average in both of the first two books was actually a lot of character building and plot development that was necessary and beautifully brought to a climax and wonderful resolution in the third book. I highly recommend this series (and everything else this author has written!) Her characters are always full of life! They make me laugh and cry, groan and giggle. Beckstrand’s books are always a treat, and this one is no exception!
