My daughters and I, along with our friend who is spending the month with us, are doing the Good Morning Girls Advent Bible study together each morning. We did the Thanksgiving one, and the girls absolutely loved it, and I really enjoyed starting our day gathered around the table and God’s Word together. So when they asked if we could join for Advent, it was sort of a no-brainer!
My six-year old really wants to do this with us, but we have found that the writing is a bit much for her. During the Thanksgiving one, she and I shared a journal that I know I will treasure forever!
She usually gets most of the way through copying the verse and then tires out, so I often let her dictate the rest to me and I write it out for her. We’ve also enjoyed drawing some of the verses together.
At the end of last week, she asked if there was any way I could make her a page that she could trace the verses. That was easy enough, so I made up these sheets for her to use this week. Then I thought others might want to use them too so I’m uploading them for you and making them available as a free download! You can right-click on the link below and save it as a pdf. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Just fyi: the acronym SOAP stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. For more information, hop over to the Good Morning Girls website. Because we did the whole Thanksgiving study and the first week of this one, she is very familiar with this format so I only put the letters.
Please let me know in the comments below if you find this useful and if you’d be interested in another printable for week 3! Also, if you’d like to join my GMG Facebook study group, just hop over to Mommynificent’s page and let me know you’d like to be added to the GMG group (after liking Mommynificent, of course!) 🙂 Thanks!
