Hello readers! It’s that time of the week again, when we share the books we’ve been enjoying! As always, I’m also open to any posts about helping others learn to read or improve their reading skills (including adults). Basically, anything literacy-related is fair game.
This has been a good reading week for me. I had been saving a book for when I finished some other projects, and this week, I felt so burned out, I scrapped the plan and let myself read the book! I feel better already! 🙂
The book was Harvest of Gold($) by Tessa Afshar. It is the sequel to Harvest of Rubies($) which I reviewed here. I absolutely love both of these books! I actually went back and reread most of the first one before reading the one I’d been saving because I wanted to remember all that had happened in book 1. I’m not going to let myself do a full-on book review here, but I’ll just say that I am so impressed with this author’s understanding and research of ancient cultures and her ability to create great characters! I learn so much from her books and I have so much fun reading them!!!
How about you? What have you been reading? I really love to hear your recommendations! (And thanks for your comments about book clubs last week!) 🙂
